Our Achievements

Recognition received and impact created over four decades of work.

  • Navjeevan Sheltered Workshop was awarded the "Best Sheltered Workshop Award in Marathwada" by the Social Welfare Department.
  • Anand Bhadkamkar Trust gave an award of ₹1,00,000/- to Navjeevan Society in appreciation of its good work.
  • Mrs. Nalini Shah, President and founder of Navjeevan Society, was appointed on the Local Level Committee of the National Trust of India in three districts — Ch. Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad), Nanded and Hingoli — since 2006. The Ex-Officio Chairman of this committee is the District Collector.
  • Conducted camps in Ch. Sambhajinagar district to spread awareness about brain-related disorders and the provisions under the National Trust Act for persons with such disorders.
  • Verified and awarded Legal Guardianship for 53 children with brain-related disorders.
  • Verified and approved 53 candidates with brain-related disorders for registering under the Niramaya Yojana (Medical Insurance) of National Trust.
  • Navjeevan was appointed as State Nodal Agency Partner of National Trust of India for 10 districts of Marathwada — Aurangabad, Beed, Jalna, Latur, Osmanabad, Buldhana, Jalgaon, Hingoli, Parbhani and Nanded. Surveys were conducted, workshops were organised, and important information about disability and government schemes under the National Trust Act 1999 was disseminated. Awareness was created through programs like street plays and rallies — including "Badhte Kadam", a rally organised in Ch. Sambhajinagar that registered participation of 1,500 people.
  • India set a record of Largest Musical Play Performance by Intellectually Disabled People on 30th August 2025.

"We have always targeted all our efforts mainly towards social and economic rehabilitation of our trainees. After many years of tireless efforts to create awareness about intellectual disability, we have finally succeeded in rehabilitating some of our trainees."

Celebrating 40 Years of Unwavering Dedication

A legacy of love, care & selfless service. Reiki Grandmaster Nirmala Tapadia and her team visited Navjeevan, interacting with kids, performing Reiki and conducting meditation.

Independence Day Celebrations

Children lit up the stage with energetic drills. Mr. Bharuka, his daughter Gouravi Bharuka, Lions Club NX President Mr. Vipul Sharma and team were chief guests. Lions Club NX donated uniforms and a CCTV.

Raksha Bandhan Celebration

Wockhardt Global School, Shedra students visited Navjeevan with guitar performances, Zumba and games. Navjeevan students performed a yoga dance, followed by the Rakhi Purnima celebration.

RCI-approved CRE Programme

3-day offline Continuous Rehabilitation Education (C.R.E.) programme on "Cross Disability Early Identification and Intervention" — teachers from Marathwada, Western Maharashtra, Karnataka and Vidarbha attended.

National Conference for Special Educators

3-day conference on "Vocational and Skill Training for Persons with Disabilities" with 120 teachers from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Kolhapur and Secunderabad.

School & VTC Reopened

The School and Vocational Training Centre reopened on 15th June. Teachers and staff welcomed students with drums and a small gift for everyone.

Early Intervention Center Inaugurated

On the 1st death anniversary of founding President Mrs. Nalini B. Shah, the Early Intervention Center was inaugurated with strong support from AEL-CIE Automotive Ltd. by Mr. Soumeen Majumdar (VP Corporate Strategy) and Mr. Sheikh Jaleel (Deputy Commissioner, Zilla Parishad).

Medical Checkup Camp

A medical checkup camp organised by Lions Angels group, supervised by Dr. Meeta Chitnis and Dr. Shubha Jhavar — complete physical and eye checkup for all students. Cataract and squint problems were identified in some students.
